It has always bewildered me that the unions weren’t doing more, doing anything, to stop trade with Israel. Now I know why, the Zionist lobby planned ahead. What a shameful dereliction of their moral obligations.

What a complete failure by the union movement abhorrent many have sold out only very few unions remain active, Teachers Federation is one of those unions speaking out for Palestine.

We did once have a strong union moment in this country just like Italy if that was still the case what a difference it would’ve made against Israel lobby and within the Labour Party who now openly support the Israeli apartheid regime.

Great article. Thank you . Also important to include though Hilkari's more recent comments in support of anti protest laws and encouraging anti genocide supporters to be silent post Bondi

This doesn’t surprise me, unfortunately. Whenever unionists connected to Trades Hall are challenged on Palestine, they just block people online or just ignore them. It’s appalling.

I would like to donate to the “Zelda 8” legal representation. Unfortunately I can’t find how to do it. It would be good if you could publish the legal team’s details so I can donate. I don’t know how else to contact you to ask for this information. I have tried the legal organisation mentioned in this article but they couldn’t help and neither can the Victorian Magistrates Court.

Systems have been built that mimic the left, these mimic systems are not real real people centered organizations, what they do is derail people centered systems and politics.
