How disturbing the lengths they will go to stop any dissenting views to Israel … ohhhh the desperation of the lobby to shut down anything & everything that may offend Israel shame shame
Australia has been taken over by authoritarianism - everywhere is a police state. The people locked out pay the council's wages through their rates, yet they don't get to observe "democratic" local government debate pertinent matters. Shameful. Who'd thought not so long ago that we would start proudly calling ourselves dissidents? I stand with all Australians of Lebanese and Palestinian descent. I stand against oppression and rogue states.
Australia is multi-cultural and as Councillor Garad attested we cannot pick and choose the groups we support and sympathise with. What also stood out was Labor Councillor Sean O’Reilly supporting the inclusion of residents with ties to Israel which is the main aggressor in the Western Arab area. Is he already accepting financial support from the various Zionist entities? How many residents in the Greater Dandenong area are Jewish or Israeli. If Lebanese citizens number 50,000 how many other residents would have been uncomfortable with the support from Council? Too often our media, politicians and police try to direct our support for the purported ‘good’ guys vs ‘bad’ guys so I say to them majority of us have observed violence, invasion and murder in and against these countries and we are capable of making our own informed decisions.

Not just that, but it’s a way of constructing dissenting groups as dangerous.

Is this social cohesion then, or did they get it confused with social distancing?
Shame.
