The 'rules based order' was effectively created by the US, but in recent years has been deserted by the US. We fear that China will respond to the imperial gangster behaviour of the US with similar tactics, but that may not be the case. We may hope that China will see an opportunity to step in as the international stabilizing force, in the space vacated by today's America.
