This is a totally unacceptable intrusion by partisan politics into academia. As for the "transperancy" assurances, they are not worth the coin of implicit biases carried by all. Peter Shergold should be acutely aware of the moral jeopardy he exposes himself to in accepting this role. A role which should not exist in fact.

Peter Shergold is a former bureaucrat who presided over the Howard government's dismantling of the independence of the Australian Public Service. He was well rewarded.

Congratulations to Damien Williams on his appointment to this much needed position. And thank you for this post. The 'elephant in the room' is something huge that no-one sees. Zionist influence is huge and increasingly in view, to the point of being brazen and showering 'the rest of us' with ordure. The big question: how do we eradicate this government supported outrage?

Thanks, Don. It’s just a day a week at present. Mon-Thurs I remain the managing director of Clayton Utes, Spare Parts and Wreckers.

You have to give the Zionist organisation credit always manipulating/working in the background, they know how to line up all there ducks in a row and fix the race before it begins to get the result they want and they would pay well.

Whilst my HECS debt gently weeps. Its 2026 and we are trying to come up with a framework of historical revisionism that justifies colonisation and white washed ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Jillian Segal has a 'UNESCO-backed program'? I thought Zionists weren't supposed to care about woke organisations like the UN?

Damien Williams's avatar

Segal appears to be getting a much friendlier reception at Unesco.

I keep asking myself why progressive entities keep engaging with Zionists. The Israeli government has cut ties with UN chief Guterrez over allegations of sexual violence in the IDF and banned UNRWA from operating in Gaza. Why should UNESCO try and be friends with the likes of Segal? She won't reciprocate the sentiment, unless it suits her.

Might be safer to say that Unesco’s leadership is more simpatico than other agencies.

What is the problem that this group has been set up to fix? And what is the evidence of that problem?

Good questions, Rita.
