Thank you for your bravery in holding yourself up to the highest standards of journalism despite being fully aware of the personal consequences and fall out to yourself and your career.

Thank you for your openness and honesty. You have offered me and others insights we could never have known without an insiders view of faults in the media.

We are all human and fail from time to time. Our faith in humanity is restored by honest admission of our failures and a commitment to do better.

May the enduring distinctive features of humanity like kindness, compassion, generosity, humility, inclusion, respect, honesty and integrity prevail.

It's great being able to read these speeches that we ordinarily might not have access to, thank you. Clearly a powerful speech.

Thankyou Mary- your analysis sheds light on why many think the way they do.

I too read Anne Franks diary and Leon Uris Exodus as a prelude to a 6 months Kibbutz experience.

Only started to question and wake up when I read in Time magazine, only English language available on Kibbutz, that war over that bombing on Golan heights had stopped which conflicted with my reality of 3pm low flyover jets dumping their load each day. This was just the start to questioning.

The Palestinians brave reporting of their Gaza and West Bank reality has opened many minds and hearts but it would be diminished if brave western journalists did not also explain how and why narratives are controlled and contrived. We Thankyou.
