If the school syllabus covered the contributions all the strengths and benefits all groups/ races / whatevers , including European, like Italian street names celebrating scientific developments in electrical advances, teachers may need crash courses --- ideally, more cohesion based on respect is the aim.
Victorian values sounds like something a British trooper would impose on a colonial population in 1878.
